Most foot problems can be diagnosed without Xrays or diagnostic imaging. However, if diagnostic testing is required, e.g. x-rays, ultrasounds or MRI, the podiatrist can provide you with the required referral to local imaging clinics. Some complex imaging can only be referred by your GP in which case, your podiatrist will advise you. There maybe out of pocket expenses for imaging services.
